Geoff Johns, DC Comics’ Chief Creative Officer, has updated the company’s blog with photos of a live action screen test for a possible Blue Beetle live action TV show. This would be the most recent version of the character, who was first introduced in Johns’ 2005 miniseries Infinite Crisis. Jaime Reyes is a teenager from El Paso, Texas, who transforms into a superhero using a magical scarab.

This is gonna be awesome. Jaime has been one of my favorites since I saw him on Brace and the Bold and he deserves more respect. Hopefully this show will come through and last a few seasons. hey, Ted Kord might even appear on Smallville, Max Lord already has, so he might die saving Clark and lead us to Jaime as the Blue Beetle.
